5.0 out of 5 stars – Good product

Needed a good door bell so we thought about upgrading to a video smart unit. Investigated the various manufacturers and came up buying Ring. Have used it as a battery operated unit for over 2 years and have found it to be very useful. Battery has to be changed about every 90 days. Easy to install

5.0 out of 5 stars – Works great, easy set up

Works great! I had the Roku version of video doorbell which was a nightmare. This is bells and whistles over that one. Should have started with this unit….

5.0 out of 5 stars – Excellent product easy setup

In a word OMG why did I wait so long to get one. Very easy set up at your front door and iPhone set up. Loving this product. I returned the chime unit because I was satisfied with the ring on my iPhone instead. Excellent product.

Product A: Ring Battery Doorbell (2024 Release)

5.0 out of 5 stars – Best I found, trustworthy and reliable.

Bought 4 camera doorbells one for each entrance into the house. Charging differs depending on use. The main upper-level Garage door charges once every 2 months. Gets the most use. The downstairs garage door gets the second most usage. The others, the front and rear doors, don’t need a charge yet. The daytime camera looks good, and nighttime camera is super, even better with an outdoor light on. Connected easily to my network and the app works the magic. You can check on your house when away. The Ring fee is great as it’s based on household, not unit. We also have two indoor-powered cameras as well for added security. I looked and researched for over a year before I chose this setup. Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars – A Must Have for Home Security and Peace of Mind!

I absolutely love my Ring Video Doorbell! Installation was super simple, and the app walks you through every step. The video quality is crystal clear both day and night and the motion detection is spot on. I get real-time alerts straight to my phone, so I always know who’s at my door, whether I’m home or away.

One of my favorite features is the two way audio. I can speak to delivery drivers or visitors without having to open the door. Plus, the sleek bronze finish adds a modern, stylish touch to my front entrance.

If you’re thinking about upgrading your home security, this is a smart and reliable choice. Highly

5.0 out of 5 stars – Simple to set up and great peace of mind

I bought the Ring camera because I had been thinking for a long time that I needed some security on my front porch. The price was right and I am glad I did it. Even though I have a wired doorbell, I decided it was easier just to get one with wi-fi. My brother came for Christmas and I asked him to install it. The spot I was installing it is too narrow, so my brother mounted a piece of wood first, then screwed the Ring Camera to the wood. It’s very easy and user friendly to use. I can clearly see whoever is on my porch. I also live with my 86 year old mother and it gives me peace of mind when I see her going out the front door to get the mail, or when she’s cleaning and shaking out rugs, I can turn on the intercom when I’m at work and harass her. The ring on the camera changes color when I’m talking to her (or anyone that rings the doorbell). I did purchase a door chime, so mom can hear when a package is delivered or if someone rings the doorbell. If you don’t purchase the chime, the person at home without a smartphone can’t hear someone at the door. You can also program the chime so that it sounds different for a package as opposed to someone ringing the doorbell. Sometimes the WiFi turns off of it for some reason, but mom has figured out how to disconnect and then reconnect it so it starts working again. The Ring camera detects everything happening on the porch. I can even see at night. I subscribed to the cheapest plan, it does everything I need, it records and allows me to interact with whoever is on the porch.

User Review #4:

User Review #5:

5.0 out of 5 stars – PURCHASED RING DOORBELL SEVERAL TIMES ISSUES FINALLY FIXED!

This is my second time purchasing a ring, the first was connected to my doorbell and made my doorbell ring by itself consistently. I then bought the battery operated one, God forbid your wifi goes off and needs to be reset because I was trying all day to reconnect to the ring back to the wifi and it did not work after SEVERAL attempts. I contacted customer service and thank goodness I was helped by someone who knows how to resolve issues. They’re currently in the process of sending me a chime to better connect to the wifi. I hope that the chime works and that I don’t have any further issues. If I do I will be returning…Coming back to update, I was sent a chime for free to fix the above issues and everything is working smoothly, so far so good so I came back to give the ring 5 stars. I am appreciative of Rings customer service

Final Verdict

Overall Winner: Product B – Ring Battery Doorbell Plus (2023 Release with Chime Pro)
For most users, the bundled Chime Pro, removable battery, and solar compatibility outweigh the 2024 model’s vertical coverage.

Alternate Pick: Product A – Ring Battery Doorbell (2024)
Opt for this if cutting-edge vertical visibility and Alexa integration are critical.

Additional Tips

  • Subscriptions: Both require Ring Protect (4–4–10/month) for full features.
  • Warranty: Each has a 1-year warranty and 4+ years of security updates.
  • Installation: Use Product B’s corner kit for angled mounting; Product A suits narrow spaces.
